Hylant Ranks Third in Business Insurance's Best Places to Work

November 4, 2021

Toledo, OH November 4, 2021 – Hylant announced today it has ranked third in Business Insurance’s Best Places to Work in Insurance in the medium employer category, moving up three spots from 2020.

The annual Best Places to Work program recognizes employers for their outstanding performance in establishing workplaces where employees can thrive, enjoy their work and help their companies grow.

“We are very proud to be named a Best Place to Work in Insurance for the 13th consecutive year,” said Mike Hylant, CEO. “Our employees have made it loud and clear they enjoy working for a family-oriented business in which they can contribute to the culture.”

“We are determined to continue to evolve our culture to ensure our employees love working at Hylant,” echoed Bubba Berenzweig, who will be taking over as CEO upon Hylant’s retirement in January 2022. “Our employees are why our clients choose Hylant, and the opportunities for collaboration, learning and innovation is key to our superior client service.”

Best Places to Work in Insurance is an annual sponsored content feature presented by the custom publishing unit of Business Insurance and Best Companies Group that lists the agents, brokers, insurance companies and other providers with the highest levels of employee engagement and satisfaction. Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based Best Companies Group identifies the leading employers in the insurance industry by conducting a free two-part assessment of each company. The first part is a questionnaire completed by the employer about company policies, practices and demographics. The second part is a confidential employee survey on engagement and satisfaction.

The program divides employers into the categories of small, 25-249 employees; medium, 250-999 employees; and large, 1,000 or more employees. This year’s report features 75 companies of various sizes, from 25 employees to more than 4,000.

“This is the last year we expect to be on the medium-sized companies list,” said Berenzweig. “We aren’t being quiet about our intention to grow rapidly, expanding our client base throughout the U.S. organically and bringing on new talent to the Hylant family. We are excited about all of the opportunities that will come with that.”

Additionally, Hylant has ranked 4th in the Business Insurance top U.S. 100 brokers list, a jump from 33rd in 2020.
