Hylant Administrative Services
Hylant Administrative Services (HAS) is a wholly owned division of Hylant, founded in 1994, that designs and manages specialized insurance programs in partnership with carriers and reinsurance partners. HAS provides end-to-end program support, including underwriting, risk management, claims, accounting, and administration. Through long-standing programs and a broad partner network, HAS delivers consistent, well-managed results for carriers, program members, and clients.

Astra Insurance
Since 1998, Astra Insurance’s specialty insurance programs, which include public schools, municipalities, and libraries, have helped independent agents write and retain business in the Midwest. Astra Insurance provides property & casualty insurance solutions through superior claims, risk management, and underwriting services.
Ohio School Plan
Founded over 20 years ago, Ohio School Plan offers a dependable source of risk management protection for over 300 public educational institutions and boards of developmental disabilities in Ohio. In addition to offering traditional coverage, Ohio School Plan has responded to evolving member insurance needs by developing specialized coverages, including cyber, violence, fiduciary, and finding for recovery.
Ohio Plan Risk Management
Ohio Plan Risk Management, administered by Hylant Administrative Services, provides property and casualty coverage to public entities in Ohio. With nearly 800 members, Ohio Plan is the largest member-focused, self-insurance program for public entities in the state, since 1988.
Unique Partnerships
Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Legal Plan, Inc.
DBA for Legal Defense Plan. Since 1995, Hylant has administered the FOP Legal Defense Plan nationwide. The plan is designed specifically to cover the law enforcement exposures faced by members and pays legal defense costs for administrative, civil and criminal allegations or proceedings.
Weiser Insurance Program
The Weiser Insurance Program is property and casualty insurance designed exclusively for Anheuser-Busch wholesalers. The program provides comprehensive coverage to protect the assets and operations of Anheuser-Busch wholesalers. Get in touch with Senior Vice President Brad Croce to learn more.
