Hylant Announces New Global Risk Services Hires, Expands Capabilities

January 25, 2021

Toledo, OH January 25, 2021 – Hylant is expanding its Global Risk Services practice with the additional hires of Sherry Gonzalez, strategic leader for global risk services accounts; Tanja Maffei, risk management leader; and Charlie Reilly, vice president property risk advisor.

Gonzalez, Maffei and Reilly all bring international experience to Hylant’s global services and capabilities. Their expertise will bolster the relationships and service of carriers, partners and clients across the globe, providing the guidance and expertise for organizations to meet their business goals.

Gonzalez, having recently worked with AXA International as chief business officer, brings her vast experience of international operations. As the strategic leader for global accounts, she will work with Hylant’s executive leaders and office heads to shape Hylant’s international growth strategy and evolve how Hylant serves its large national and multinational clients.

Reilly, recently the global relationship leader with Zurich, will serve as property risk advisor, bringing his extensive experience in global and domestic insurance programs. He will develop and manage strategies to continue to build relationships with clients, carriers and partners.

Maffei, as the risk management leader, will be responsible for the growth of the global risk services segment, working closely with Gonzalez and other leaders in establishing strategy. With 25 years of insurance experience and an international background, Maffei will manage the team that serves the unique requirements of international clients.

“We are investing in the talent and resources to achieve our goals in the global market,” said Richard Hylant, president of sales and innovation. “Sherry, Tanja and Charlie each bring a fresh perspective to our existing team. The combined talent is well positioned to serve our clients. If our clients are happy, we don’t need to worry about achieving our growth goals. We are thrilled with these additions to the Hylant family.”

With these hires, coupled with the recent hires of Joe Herman, senior vice president, M&A Transaction Solutions, and Anne Marie Towle, senior vice president, Global Captive Solutions, Hylant continues to reaffirm its dedication to growth, specifically in the global risk services segment.

“Hylant is at the right place, at the right time to offer a solid alternative for risk management clients’ needs,” said Gonzalez. “Their level of industry talent, business fundamentals and family values are a refreshing change. I am proud to be a part of their future.”

Hylant has recently taken great strides to be an international player in the insurance space. As the organization commences transition to the fourth generation of leaders with the promotion of Andrew “Bubba” Berenzweig to CEO and continued expansion within the United States, Hylant has also built up the M&A Transaction Solutions and Global Captive Solutions groups.

“Being in the global market is important, but we know we must have the right foundation to get there,” said Hylant. “We have set the foundation and are going to build something truly great.”
