Matt Hylant Named President of Hylant Ann Arbor

ANN ARBOR, Mich., April 8, 2020 – Hylant, one of the largest privately held insurance brokers in the U.S., announces the promotion of Matthew M. Hylant to president of its Ann Arbor office. As president, Matt will be responsible for the day-to-day operations along with setting the vision for strategic growth and initiatives for the Ann Arbor office.

“We’re excited to see Matt return to Ann Arbor to lead the Ann Arbor office,” said Patrick McDaniel, Partnership Leader and President of Hylant’s Detroit office. “Matt is a proven leader and has been successful in every position of his career thus far. We look forward to his leadership in the areas of client retention, new business development and talent recruitment.”

Prior to this role, Matt served as client executive and team leader in Employee Benefits for Hylant’s Grand Rapids office for the past six years. During his time there, he built a significant client base along with earning recognition as a member of Hylant’s prestigious Diamond Club.

Matt is a 2009 graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.A. in economics and history. He joined Epic Systems Corporation, located in Madison, WI, after college as a project manager for large hospital systems throughout the U.S. before joining Hylant in 2014. He is very active in his community in both professional and non-profit organizations. Matt and his wife Emily have an infant daughter Natalie.

Matt Hylant replaces Linda Koos who resigned to pursue another opportunity within the industry.
