Info-Tech Research Group Names David Blum, CIO for Hylant, as a 2021 Info-Tech CIO Awards Winner

December 10, 2021

Toledo, OH December 1, 2021 – Hylant is proud to announce David Blum, chief information officer, has been named a 2021 Info-Tech CIO Awards winner by Info-Tech Research Group, a leading IT research and advisory firm.

Blum is recognized as a Visionary & Growth Leader winner. Since 2016, the Info-Tech CIO Awards have recognized outstanding industry leaders for delivering exceptional value to their organizations.

“The rise of insurtech and digital transformation of the insurance industry has required us to evolve the role of IT from a traditional operational support unit into a strategic partner that understands the business so that we can proactively identify and align how current and future technology can advance our strategic objectives. This recognition underscores the advances Hylant’s IT team has made in our vision of driving a strategic shift in technology from just ‘running the business’ to also ‘creating the business,’ with a focus on realizing operational efficiencies, while also driving innovation and revenue growth.”

There were 372 contenders for the 2021 awards. The winners of the Info-Tech CIO Awards are determined based on IT satisfaction and value delivered, as assessed and quantified by their direct business stakeholders.

“The Info-Tech CIO Awards spotlight the essential attribute of an IT leader’s success, which is the ability to satisfy their stakeholders,” says Geoff Nielson, senior vice president, global services and delivery for Info-Tech Research Group. “Recipients personify how IT should deliver business value, especially during unprecedented times. It is our honor to acknowledge the 2021 honorees, who have made amazing strides and achievements for their respective organizations.”
